6 DAYS OF CREATION
Quran verses are not clear about the details of the 6 days of creation, so Muslims rely on the ahadith to explain that trees were created before the sun [false], and that trees were created before there were any animals [also false]
NUH (NOAH) AND THE FLOOD
The flood story in the Quran is similar to the BIble explanation, except the Quran does not say whether the flood was global or local. and does not say whether the flood was thousands of years ago or billions of years ago. The hadiths do not prohibit a belief in Allah directing evolution for billions of years.
ECOLOGICAL BALANCE
Quran verse 15:19 says Allah caused things on Earth to grow well balanced. This verse merely means there was food for a varied diet. It is not about competition between animals
EARLIEST FORMS OF LIFE
Edip Yüksel misinterpreted Allah creating man from mud as revealing that the earliest microscopic lifeforms lived in mud.
ALL THINGS CREATED IN PAIRS
Quran verse 36:36 has been interpreted as meaning that all living things were created as pairs. Actually, the first living things were the archaea, from which scientists say the plants and animals later evolved. Archaea have no sexes or sexual organs.
Edip Yüksel mistranslated Quran verse 35:11 as revealing that the blueprints for life are encoded in genes. Actually, the beginning of Quran verse 35:11 merely says that Allah created man from dust. The end of the verse fatalistically says that how long each man will live was predetermined by Allah and cannot be changed; it is written in the “kitābin”, which means “decree of Allah”.

Edip Yüksel’s footnote to Quran verse 16:49 misinterpreted “all living things prostrating to Allah” as all living things obeying the laws of chemistry. He falsely claimed the verse is a revelation of scientific facts about the nucleic acids in dna.

dna

Edip Yüksel mistranslated Quran verse 35:11 as revealing that the blueprints for life are encoded in genes.
Actually, the Quran says nothing about dna or genes.
The beginning of Quran verse 35:11 merely says that Allah created man from dust. The end of the verse fatalistically says that how long each man will live was predetermined by Allah and cannot be changed; it is written in the “kitābin”, which means “decree of Allah”.

6 DAYS OF CREATION
Quran verses describe creation, but are unclear about how to apportion these acts of creation to each of the 6 days of creation.
Hadiths. which are words and deeds of the prophet Mohammed memorized by  followers, clarify this.
In hadiths translated by Franz Rosenthal in “The History of al-Tabari”, vol 1, “On Wednesday, He created trees … On Friday, He created the stars, the sun, the moon”.
Other collections of hadiths phrase it as saying light was created on Friday.

Some Muslims interpret the 6 days of creation as each day being millions or  billions of years.
Some modern Muslim scholars hide the scientific error of trees surviving millions or billions of years without light by falsely claiming that the Quran verses about the 6 days of creation are not in chronological sequence.

The creation verses of the Quran do not say whether or not Allah later made any changes to man, animals or plants, so the Quran does not forbid the concept of evolution directed by Allah. However, the Quran says trees were created before animals, so the Quran requires Muslims to reject the scientific evidence from fossils that animals existed before there were trees.

NUH (NOAH) AND THE FLOOD
One source of the water of Noah’s flood is described in Quran verse 11:40 (and repeated in 23:27) which in Arabic clearly states that the water erupted from the chamber of an oven, meaning it is superheated steam from either a volcanic vent or a boiling geyser similar to “Old Faithful Geyser”, whose water is at a temperature of 265 °F (129 °C). This is similar to the Bible verse Genesis 7:11 about “fountains of the great deep”, except the Bible does not mention the water being superheated, and Christian websites often interpret it as being deep under the ocean.
But the Study Quran mentions there exists an interpretation that the water was high rather than hot.
The other source of water is the “opening of the gates of the sky” in Quran verse 54:11, which agrees with the Bible.
Muslims are permitted to believe Noah’s flood was a local event, not a worldwide event.
The Study Quran’s footnote to verse 11:40 gives interpretations that Noah’s flood could have been either global or local.
The Quran omits the Noahic Covenant (in Bible verse Genesis 9:8-17), in which God promised He will never send a flood to punish the descendants of those on Noah’s ark.
Both the Quran and the Bible say Noah died at age 950.

ANIMALS ON THE ARK
The Quran does not say whether or not animals outside the local region were put on the ark,
The Quran does not forbid the belief in young earth creationism, held by many Christians, that the Earth was created less than ten thousand years ago.
But the Quran does not prohibit the possibility that Noah lived a billion years ago and that most species of animals did not exist until after the time of Noah, so the Quran does not forbid the concept of evolution directed by Allah.
Some Muslims multiply 6 days of creation by “a day to Allah is a thousand years to man” to calculate that man was created 5000 to 6000 years after the world was created. This is different from the interpretation by some Christians that man was created 5000 to 6000 years ago.

ECOLOGICAL BALANCE
Quran verse 15:19 says Allah caused things on Earth to grow well balanced. A Muslim website falsely claims this verse revealed that Allah created an ecological balance. An actual ecological balance involves competition between species. This verse is not about that. The verse probably merely means there was food for a varied diet, such as dates, olives, meat and fowl.

AGE OF THE EARTH
Verse 22:47 “a day to Allah is a thousand years to man” is interpreted in the Study Quran as meaning that the torture of non-believers on Judgement Day makes a day to non-believers seem like a thousand years. But it also mentions the interpretation that each of the 6 days of creation is a thousand years as man counts years, which would make the Earth 6000 years old at the time of Adam [approximately the same age Young Earth Creationist Christians have computed as the number of years since Adam (not before Adam), by using Old Testament data about the age at which men became fathers].

EARLIEST FORMS OF LIFE
Quran verse 24:45 “Allah has created every animal” is about “intelligent design”, not evolution. Edip Yüksel let his imagination run wild in his footnote for Quran verse 15:26. He misinterpreted Allah creating man from mud as revealing that the earliest microscopic lifeforms lived in mud.

ALL THINGS CREATED IN PAIRS
Quran verse 51:49 (John Medows Rodwell translation) says “And of everything have We created pairs”
Quran verse 36:36 (Pickthall translation) says “Glory be to Him Who created all the sexual pairs, of that which the earth groweth, and of themselves, and of that which they know not!”.

This has been interpreted by Muslim websites as meaning that all living things were created as pairs.

THE ARCHAEA
Actually, the first living things were not created in pairs.

The earliest and most primitive living things were the archaea, from which scientists say the plants and animals later evolved. Archaea have a single cell with a single circular chromosome (not pairs of chromosomes), have no sexes or sexual organs, and multiply by dividing,
