LYING FORELOCKS OR LYING CEREBRUM?
Quran verse 96:15 says a man was dragged by his forelock [of hair on his head], but the immediately following verse says the forelock was lying and sinful, implying that hair can think and talk. Substituting cerebrum for forelock does not help much; being dragged by the prefrontal area of the cerebrum does not make as much sense as being dragged by his hair.

OTHER TALKING BODY PARTS
Quran verses 41:20-22 say that your skin, eyes and ears will testify against you.on Judgement Day. Quran verse 41:21 says “And they shall say unto their skins, wherefore do ye bear witness against us? They shall answer, God hath caused us to speak, who giveth speech unto all things”. (George Sale translation)

LYING FORELOCKS OR LYING CEREBRUM?

Quran verse 96:15
says a man was dragged by his forelock [of hair on his head], but the immediately following verse says the forelock was lying and sinful, implying that hair can think and talk. Substituting forehead for forelock does not help much; being dragged by a lying forehead does not make as much sense as being dragged by his hair.
Many translators insist that every word of the Quran must be taken as literally true. An alternate interpretation of this verse could be that “lying forelock” is an idiom like “does not have an honest bone in his body”, and its meaning should not be taken literally.

In 1978, Rashad Khalifa changed lying to disbelieving.
The controversial Canadian embryologist Keith L. Moore defended the “lying cerebrum” interpretation of the verse, writing that the decision to tell a lie is made in the prefrontal area of the cerebrum.
The Monotheist Group 2011 edition contains the “frontal lobe which lies” interpretation of the verse, but in the 2013 edition reversed itself and instead used the “lying forelocks” interpretation.

Asad translated the word as “forehead” in the phrase about lying, but translated the same word as forelock in the phrase about dragging.
